Generally, Sun signs that square each other don't get along. Opposites, like in your case, are generally Love/Hate relationships..you either love em or you hate em.
It also has a lot to do with your Mercury and Moon placements....people who have incompatible Suns might still get along fine if they have compatible Moon or Mercury placements...

I think that water and earth signs belong with each other and get along...
air and fire signs belong with each other and get along...
