Do you follow the OLD or NEW zodiac signs?

They added another zodiac sign recently, making me not an Aries, but a Pisces. Do you stick to your old one or new one? I feel like an aries, not a pisces. What is this madness!? Your opinion?Do you follow the OLD or NEW zodiac signs?
it doesn't really matter. as long as I can read my chart and can predict it.
If you follow the "western" fortune telling type of astrology, then the position of the zodiac as it was about two thousand years ago is used. Not where the constellations are at currently, that is for astronomy. A true science. Astrologers know about the shifting but ignore this. They stopped observing the sky centuries ago. Where the sun really is and where astrology says it is are two different things.



Also, astrology must be twelve signs because that number divides easy. Everything in astrology alternates in patterns based on this. Adding or taking away a sign makes it a prime number, that can not be divided at all. Can't have back to back fire signs.



Add a planet, no problem. Happens a lot. Add a sign, big problems. Not going to happen.



Edit: Why should nature stay put and cooperate for the astrologers? Nature is highly predictable, that is why we have science. If you have belief, you do not bother with science. Test astrology for accuracy? Great idea, can you suggest one? Since when will any believers accept any astrology test results? Astrology claims have been tested. It never does better than random chance or guessing.Do you follow the OLD or NEW zodiac signs?
Are you talking about Sidereal astrology? If so, it is not new. Sidereal was the original astrology that the newer ones are based off of. In Sidereal, they use the exact planet placements; whereas with Western astrology, they use a mathematical system that is 25 degrees off. That's what would make you a Pisces instead of an Aries but it all depends on which system you choose. I chose Sidereal only because it fits me to a T and I prefer to go with the original system which has stood the test of time. It is the one that has been proven accurate again and again :) It's a person choice though as to which one you want to follow.

I honestly don't know what to think.

Maybe there are other star constellations and an extra element that we need to take into consideration?

I remember a few months ago that this place had an argument debating what a 5th element would be.

Perhaps.... Electricity?

I believe Scorpio and Aquarius would fit under that element.

Ophiuchus?

I... Don't that it would fit under electricity as much as it would fire, but...

Idk. I'm open to it, I guess.

I'm aware of the addition of the 13th sign Ophiuchus/Serpentarius to some versions of the zodiac, but have yet to see any real resources as to how it's applicable. I'll keep using the old way until I see a bit more resource and evidence :-)
They totally messed it up! That's stupid. According to new astrology, I'm Ophiuchus and I read traits about it, and I'm nothing like that! I'm so a Sagittaruis! They should have actually tested if it still is accurate, not just look at the stars stupidly and make a new 'scientific discovery' that will somehow change people's personality! I want to stay with the old and I hope the rest of the horoscope section does!
I don't follow either one of them. I didn't even know there were old and new ones. It is all madness as far as I am concerned. People are just making things up and making money from it and people are gullible enough to believe them.

What? Haven't heard of it.
There are no "new" zodiac signs. Just a lot of people who are clueless listening to a few astronomers who are equally clueless. It amazes me how gullible people are.
