What's the difference between tropical, sidereal and galactic zodiac?

I was born Dec. 10 and conceding that astrology has no scientific basis, still I must confess a curiosity about my alleged new sign: Ophiuchus. Is there's anyone out there (so to speak) who has studied these things? Thanks, in advance, for time well wasted. What's the difference between tropical, sidereal and galactic zodiac?
All serious astrologers are knowledgeable or at least somewhat familiar about the.e How else can we use our tools if we don't understand them?

The general consensus in Western astrology is that the Sidereal zodiac is not useful for understanding the dynamics of personality, as based on a timed birth chart. Those few Western astrologers who use the Sidereal zodiac see it otherwise. Sidereal astrology, as used in Vedic (Hindu/Indian) astrology, is highly devoted to prediction, while Western astrology is more devoted to personality delineation.

Now and then, the Galactic center (not the "galactic zodiac") will be given as a lecture topic at an astrological convention, and there are a few who use it in the chart, but most don't see an relevance to using it.

The Tropical zodiac starts the zodiac (which always starts at 0-degrees of Aries) at the point of the Spring Equinox. Because the calendar is tied into our rotation around the Sun, this zodiac doesn't change over time.

The Sidereal zodiac starts the zodiac at the point of the beginning division of the sky which astronomers assign to Aries. In this system, the point of the Spring Equinox is now occurring at approximately 5 Pisces ... ~2000 years ago, it was occurring at 0-Aries. This is due to a phenomenon called the "precession of the equinoxes", which is caused by the earth's wobble as it spins on it's axis. This is a slow wobble, taking 26,000 years to complete one "circle" (if you have ever played with a child's top, you might remember that as the top rapidly spins, it's handle also scribes a "circle" as it wobbles ... Earth does just the same thing, and this "wobble" changes our perspective on the universe, just as opening and closing one eye and then the other will change your perspective on where items are in your room).

If you are interested in learning more about the differences between the two zodiacs and why the Sidereal zodiac precesses, I would suggest you do some googling. There are sites that discuss the "precession of the equinox" complete with diagrams, and some with animation, and a picture always helps explain these things better than words alone. Not being evasive ... it's just not a "simple" topic to present with words alone. What's the difference between tropical, sidereal and galactic zodiac?
This is not new. It is Sidereal Astrology. Astronomers use the Sidereal zodiac, and Eastern cultures use it also.

Western astrology uses the Tropical zodiac. Your OLD sign (which really isn't) is your Western sign. These NEW signs (which have been around for several thousand years) are the Sidereal signs. Either is accurate and can be used. It is your choice on how you wish to label yourself.

Astrologers have known about all this for years. It is nothing new.

Most of us use the western astrology(involves sun placement) and not the sidereal one(involves stars placement), so nothing changed.

In addition this new "serpent" sign isn't considered as a sign since it doesn't belong to an element and it doesn't have any description.
