Aries is the first sign. Makes perfect sense.
It is also the start of Spring... Aries is the first cardinal sign, first fire sign... self oriented... as you go through the zodiac in order, the first 4 signs are "self-oriented" — the next four "couple-oriented" and the last four are "world-oriented" and then it begins all over again in Aries.
Aries makes sense.

I would just say Capricorn because it makes me think of the end/beginning of the year!
Aries was first because of the old calendar...it wasn't because Aries was considered the best or anything. The calendar system we use now is fairly new compared to how long humanity has been around. (our newer calendar system is also more accurate...the older system relied on the lunar cycle which is more-off than the sun cycle we use today)
why not capricorn? they're the first and last of every year and their bascically like the glue that holds everything together. anyways, i'm being really biased. if i had to choose i would say leo because they are the most balanced and generous signs of the zodiac, even though they tend to be a little too spontaneous sometimes.If you could decide for all time, which sign would be the first of the zodiac?
Personally, I like it this way. Aries are meant to be the first of the zodiac.
But, my second choice would be Aquarius. They are the true trailblazers of the zodiac. Meaning, they make a mark.
My third choice would be Capricorn. They are hard-working, will keep everyone in order, and use their wisdom.
My fourth choice would be Leo due to their excellent leadership skills.
Aries has the right to be on the first spot of the ***** horoscope ok? Theres not one sign that can beat them. i like aries ppl including girls, i'd have one as a friend bcos of their honesty and blunt words than other signs lie to me, deny to me and hurt me when finding out the truth in the most horrible way.
Aries represents initiation, first impressions, leadership, birth, and everything emulated by a number '1'. I don't see any sign that would fit well in this position, they all have their roles to fill.

i would chose aries cos they rock, they jump into things first and they are enthusiastic and their egos arn't as big as leos.
I would pick Capricorn, because January is the first month, and plus they are very ambitious people and usually self starters.
Aries are the first for a reason. Simply because theyre mentality is a little bit younger then all of the other signs (notice how little kids just want to GOGOGO! with no concious thought to what theyre affecting?)
